How Our Surf Lessons Work
At Sanur Surf School, we make learning to surf in Bali simple, safe, and full of fun. Here’s what you can expect during your surf lesson:
1. Welcome & Preparations
Before you arrive, our team prepares your surfboards, wax, and boat on the beach. When you get here, we welcome you with a big Balinese smile, and help you get ready with rashguards and sunscreen.
2. Surf Basics & Safety Briefing
Your coach explains the fundamentals of surfing, ocean safety, and the plan for your Bali surf class so you feel confident before heading out.
3. Boat Ride to Baby Reef & Spot Introduction
We take a short, fun boat ride to Baby Reef, one of the best places for Bali surfing for beginners, or to Serangan for advanced surf lessons. Before entering the water, your coach explains the spot, the waves, the tides, and the currents so you understand the ocean and feel safe.
4. Time to Surf!
You spend 90 minutes in the water catching waves, practicing balance, and learning techniques with close support from your coach. Safe, fun, and ideal for anyone wanting to learn to surf in Bali.
5. Return & Relax
After the session, we return by boat, discuss your progress, and offer tips for catching your next waves. You can then rinse off, change, unwind, enjoy a cup of tea, and spend time with the team in a warm, family-friendly setting.
